Roses Rot Too explores what happens when beauty is pushed past its point of perfection.
Rendered in deep, velvety oils against dissolving shadow, the roses feel suspended between bloom and collapse - lush, heavy, and unmistakably alive, yes already beginning to give way to time. The painting draws on the visual language of classical still life, but disrupts it with instability, movement and subtle decay.
 
Rather than presenting fragility as something to hide, Roses Rot Too treats it as part of the story. It's a painting about endurance, about existing past the moment you were meant to step, and about the strange, magnetic beauty that appears when something refuses to disappear quietly.
